Tesla CEO Elon Musk Revives Lawsuit Against OpenAI
Elon Musk has filed a new lawsuit against OpenAI and CEO Sam Altman, reviving his claim that he was manipulated into investing in the company.
The lawsuit, which was filed in federal court in Delaware, alleges that Musk was misled about OpenAI’s technology and its plans for the future. Musk is seeking damages of at least $250 million.
OpenAI is a non-profit research company that develops artificial intelligence technology. The company is best known for creating ChatGPT, a chatbot that has become increasingly popular in recent months.
Musk was one of the early investors in OpenAI, but he withdrew his support in 2018. In June of this year, Musk filed a lawsuit against OpenAI, but he later withdrew the suit for unknown reasons.
The new lawsuit alleges that Musk was misled about OpenAI’s technology and its plans for the future. Musk claims that he was told that OpenAI’s technology was more advanced than it actually was, and that the company planned to use its technology to develop autonomous vehicles.
Musk is seeking damages of at least $250 million. OpenAI has not yet commented on the lawsuit.
