The Miami Heat defeated the Los Angeles Lakers 80-76 in the California Classic Summer League on July 10, 2024.
Keshad Johnson led the Heat with 18 points, while Alondes Williams added 16. The Lakers were led by Dalton Knecht and Colin Castleton, who each scored 16 points.
The Heat took an early lead and held on to it throughout the game. The Lakers made a run in the third quarter to cut the lead to two points, but the Heat responded with a 7-0 run to take control of the game.
The Lakers had their best showing of the Summer League in the game, but it was not enough to overcome the Heat.
