Hypothesis and Scientific Method
What is a Hypothesis?
A hypothesis is a tentative explanation for a phenomenon. It is a proposed explanation for something that is based on known facts but has not yet been proven.
Testing a Hypothesis
In order for a hypothesis to be considered a scientific hypothesis, it must be testable. This means that it must be possible to design an experiment that could either support or refute the hypothesis.
The scientific method is a process for testing hypotheses. It involves making observations, forming a hypothesis, testing the hypothesis, and drawing conclusions.
